In conjunction with the DMA's new exhibition Bouquets: French Still-Life Painting from Chardin to Matisse, this workshop will investigate the distinctions of portraying flowers as both artistic and scientific. Led by Mary Jordan, museum educator and certified medical illustrator, and DMA education staff, participants will explore the history and practice of botanical painting and illustration through an exhibition walk-through, discussion, and hands-on activities. Light refreshments will be included.
Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
