Join Gavin Delahunty, the DMA’s Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, in conversation with New York based artist Kevin Beasley. Beasley, selected as one of the artists for SOLUNA, the first Dallas Arts District-wide, music-and-more festival, has specialized in site-specific works throughout his career. His sculptural installations and performances have been included in recent internationally renowned exhibitions, such as at the 2014 Whitney Biennial, the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Beasley will present a performance that emphasizes the physicality of sound during the Late Night on Friday, May 15.
