AGES 9-12
9:00 a.m.–noon
Teacher: Mark Gutting
Behind every book cover is a tale of adventure, suspense, comedy, or romance. What’s the story behind your favorite painting or sculpture? Fellow book nerds and art geeks unite! This camp is all about stories—hidden and visible, in words or in pictures—that inspire artists to create. Take a closer look at the stories behind the masterpieces in the Museum’s galleries, and then grab a paintbrush or pencil and craft your own story-art in the studio.
In the event you need to cancel your camp registration, you must call 214-922-1394 to process your cancellation and any refund. A full refund is available for cancellations more than four weeks prior to the start of your camp. A 50% refund is available for cancelations 2–4 weeks prior to the start of your camp. No refunds will be given when cancellation is less than 2 weeks prior to the start of your camp. If a camp is canceled by the DMA, a full refund will be issued and individuals will be contacted directly. Camps are non-transferable.
