ABOUT ABOUT

Come fly away with the DMA at Art in Bloom International.  Enjoy a champagne welcome with luxury shopping in the concourse.  Walk the “green carpet” and commemorate the day with friends on the step and repeat.  Then take your prime seat for a premier presentation by Dr. Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, Garden Adviser to five Historic Royal Palaces in Greater London. As gardener and historian Todd Longstaffe-Gowan takes on a range of projects in Britain and abroad, many with a conservation slant.

After an enlightening symposium you will be treated to a three course fare of international delights.  Steady yourself for the announcement of the table design competition victor.  Judged by no other than Dr. Longstaffe-Gowan himself.  First prize is a trip to London with a private tour gardens at Kensington Palace Gardens!  Before departing make sure to have your commemorative book autographed in the Museum’s Shop.  This is surely a day at the Museum not to be missed.

Art in Bloom benefits the Dallas Museum of Art’s exhibition and education programs and the DMA League’s Floral Endowment Fund. Net proceeds from this event continue the League’s tradition of more than 70 years of Museum support. The League supports, both with volunteers and funding, a number of Museum programs and exhibitions. The League leads the Floral Endowment Fund and provides fresh floral arrangements throughout the Museum. Funds from Art in Bloom provide critical support for the education and culture-focused mission of the Dallas Museum of Art, a pillar of the downtown Dallas Arts District. This signature event will be attended by more than 300 people.
