C3 Artistic Encounters: Chance Landscapes with Kristen Cochran

Guest artist Kristen Cochran leads this workshop exploring non-traditional methods of mark making to represent imaginative, altered landscapes. Participants will create a unique and varied series of works on paper utilizing unexpected drawing and printmaking techniques. We will make small 3D models from which to draw 'touch topographies', explore layered monoprinting techniques and work directly from photographs. Experts and drawing novices alike will discover something new in this lab-like setting that emphasizes chance processes and pseudo-scientific play. For adults; all materials provided.
