Enjoy a champagne welcome with a silent auction in the concourse. Then take a reserved seat for a lively demonstration by René van Rems, as he dazzles us with his floral interpretations of seasonal masterpiece paintings from the DMA collection. A delightful luncheon will follow the presentation, which features an elegant style show, presented by St. John. Festivities will also include an auction and book signing by René van Rems.
The floral extravaganza continues in the 2nd floor European galleries with the Live Blooming Art Exhibit, a unique display of floral arrangements created by local floral designers and inspired by works of art. Open to the public, all visitors will enjoy European masterpieces alongside fresh blooming displays.
On Sunday, March 26, a limited number of patrons will have the opportunity to participate in René van Rems’ exclusive workshop on the art of making lovely European handtied bouquets.
Art in Bloom benefits the Dallas Museum of Art’s exhibition and education programs and the DMA League’s Floral Endowment Fund. The League supports, both with volunteers and funding, a number of Museum programs and exhibitions. The League leads the Floral Endowment Fund and provides fresh floral arrangements throughout the Museum. Funds from Art in Bloom provide critical support for the education and culture-focused mission of the Dallas Museum of Art, a pillar of the downtown Dallas Arts District. This signature event will be attended by more than 350 people.
