Grab your flower crowns, connect your eyebrows, throw on a shawl, and head to the Dallas Museum of Art to be part of a record-setting event. The DMA and the Latino Center for Leadership Development (LatinoCLD) are partnering to set the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Frida Kahlo in one location on Thursday, July 6, on what would have been Frida Kahlo’s 110th birthday.
To participate in the record attempt, individuals must provide their own costume, which cannot be shared among multiple individuals, and follow the costume rules set by Guinness World Records listed below:
- A unibrow drawn onto the face joining the eyebrows. This can be done with make-up or by sticking hair.
- Artificial flowers worn in the hair, a minimum of three artificial flowers must be worn.
- A red or pink shawl.
- A flower-printed dress that extends to below the knees on all sides; the dress must not have any slits up the side.
If you do not meet the criteria listed above, you won’t be able to participate in the record attempt per the Guinness World Records’ guidelines.
Toma tu corona de flores, junta el entrecejo, envuélvete con el rebozo, ¡y ven corriendo al Dallas Museum of Art para participar en el evento que establecerá un nuevo récord! El DMA está uniendo fuerzas con el Latino Center for Leadership Development (LatinoCLD) para obtener el récord Guinness por la mayor concentración de personas en un solo lugar vestidas de Frida Kahlo. Este evento se llevará a cabo el jueves 6 de julio, fecha en que la pintora mexicana habría cumplido 110 años.
Para participar en este intento de establecer el récord, cada persona deberá traer su propio vestuario; éste no se podrá compartir con otras personas, y deberá seguir las normas establecidas abajo por la organización Guinness World Records:
- Una uniceja trazada en el rostro para unir las cejas. Esto se puede lograr por medio de maquillaje, o también se puede adherir pelo.
- Se deberán usar flores artificiales en el cabello, con un mínimo de tres flores artificiales.
- Un rebozo rojo o rosa.
- Un vestido con estampado floral que se extienda bajo las rodillas por todos los lados; el vestido no deberá tener rajas o aberturas en ninguno de los lados.
De no cumplir con los criterios enumerados arriba, no podrás participar en el intento, en cumplimiento con las normas de Guinness World Records.
