AGES 6-8
9:00 a.m.–noon
Teacher: Amanda Batson
Move beyond the canvas to the textural delight of yarns, threads, and mystery materials in this camp all about the fabric arts. Take a journey around the world via the Museum galleries to learn how artists have used fiber techniques to craft cloth masterpieces, and then create your own 2-D and 3-D masterpieces in the studio. Explore a variety of fabric-dyeing techniques, investigate the art of weaving, and make mixed media creations.
New for 2016! We are pleased to now offer Before Camp Care. For an additional $25 for Public and DMA Members, your child may come early at 8:30 a.m. each day and enjoy additional supervised activities, games, and projects.
